Voice of the City’s Mission
Voices of Our City Choir amplifies the voices of people impacted by homelessness, igniting joy, healing, and growth through music and the arts. Through holistic, person-centered support, our choir members develop renewed hope, empowerment, and the life skills needed to achieve their goals. Open rehearsals and performances allow our audiences to see the full humanity and unlimited potential of people experiencing homelessness. Voices of Our City envisions a city where every person living on the streets has the opportunity to find joy, heal, and freely express themselves. Since 2017, the nonprofit has impacted the lives of over 275 unsheltered people, connected 30 adults to employment, facilitated more than 90 moves into safe shelter, and reached millions more in over 100 public performances.
